Fresh from its international premiere in July Festival dos Canais Aveiro. JPM Productions is delighted to bringing this piece back for its UK outdoor premiere!
You may have already had the chance to watch this piece either Children Today Charitable Trust Empower in Motion Sadler's Wells or even seen the piece as part of BBC Arts BBC iPlayer Dance Passions Swansea, but this new outdoor version brings a new perspective utilising the outdoor environment 🙌
A joyous celebration of dance and disability pride which challenges perceptions of classical ballet.
Mixing electrifying paso doble, tango and ballet, this deeply personal performance defiantly celebrates Joe Powell-Main’s journey back to dance after becoming disabled at the age of 15 and going on to become the first wheelchair user to dance with the Royal Ballet.
PASSIONATELY DEFIANT is supported by The London Borough of Newham, Eastbank, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Arts Council England.
